SAY GOOD-BYE

Today was a tough day. I literally spent most of my day doing this:

writers block grumpy cartoon It happens from time to time. It’s not my favorite, but it comes with the territory.  It’s a struggle for me, but I’ve learned to wait on the Lord for the creative spark in my brain. I did do a few things today besides stare at my laptop. I swept the lower half of our house which resulted in a huge pile of dog hair. I’m surprised Scout, our German Shepherd, isn’t bald. LOL I took her outside so she could get some exercise. I also spent a few minutes looking through the FB newsfeed. I ran across an interesting video of Rickey Smiley giving a heartfelt testimony about letting people go in order to move forward.

Here’s the link in case you’d like to take a look-see: Rickey Smiley Video.

It’s pretty awesome for him to share such a personal testimony to inspire others. It’s definitely something to think about. There were several things he said that stood out to me, but I’ll only mention one. When you finally get to that point where you really want to please God with your life, the enemy will do whatever he can to distract you. He knows exactly what buttons to push and a lot of times he will use the people that are in our lives to try to hold us back.  Instead of focusing our attention on the negativity, we need to focus on God. I’ve heard and said this (written) before, but I guess I needed to hear it again today. We have to continue to love and pray for everyone no matter what and show each other grace for sure. But there are some folks in our lives that are being used by the enemy to try to keep us from fulfilling our purpose. We have to pray, study His word, and stay focused on Him. SAY GOOD-BYE TO NEGATIVITY!! 😀

I’m not exempt. I’m . . .

Just blogging it out . . .Oh and Happy Tuesday Night!! 😀

  1. This really spoke to me. Definetly easier said than done. I’m taking one day at a time and it is hard because my way was so much easier. Gods way will bring growth and a changed behavior in me.
