Have you ever seen the movie The Fly 2? Remember the part towards the end when the girl saw that her boo had morphed into a fly-guy, literally? She crept her way into the room where he’s sitting. Her facial expression screamed, “YOU NEED SURGERY, A TRANSPLANT, MEDICATION, SOMETHING!” But she actually said, “Uh, I think you’re getting worse.” LOL As the fly-guy lifted his deformed hand he said, “I’m getting better.”
Okay, in the movie, the girl was right. The fly-guy was doomed. What’s my point right? Well, I’ve been working on the preliminary edits for my book for the last few days. To be honest, there’s A LOT to do. Ultimately, this whole process is making me a better writer. It really is. But when I first opened the document with the edits, I felt like how the fly-guy looked. LOL Of course the devil was right there like, “Dang! That’s gonna take you forever.” 😦 LOL
You may not be editing a book, but you may be facing a difficult task. When the enemy creeps up to you and utters, “Uh, I think you’re getting worse”, just say with confidence, even if you resemble the fly-guy, “I’m getting better.” 😀 I know this is kind of corny, but this is what I do to make myself laugh instead of throwing in the towel. I have to remind myself to focus on God and to keep moving forward. Galatians 6:9 says, And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
I’m looking forward to finishing this process. 😀 I appreciate every suggestion in that document. Thank God for my publishing company. 😀
Just blogging it out . . . Oh and Happy Tuesday Night!! 😀
